Six of our juniors travelled to Erewash Valley (Derbyshire) on Wednesday 9th August to compete in the MNR Girls Championships.
5 of our girls took part in the 36 hole gross competition where Isabel Negron Jennings (Llanymynech) finished in runner up place with a score of 153; just 3 shots behind her Katelyn Wilkie (Lilleshall) finished third. Within this category, Sophie Brothwood (Wrekin) was also awarded the winner of the best gross round 2 score. Isabel, Katelyn and Seren Ramsey (Llanymynech) also competed for the Bridget Jackson Salver awarded to the best scratch team winners and the girls lifted the trophy with a score of 309.
In the 18 hole nett competition, Denni Coleman (Llanymynech) had a great day winning both the Ann Kent Trophy for the best gross score (89) and the Ann Kent Handicap Trophy for the best Nett score (70).
