2nd Team Shropshire v Staffordshire on 23rd July 2026 at Enville GC

We had a lovely day for the 2nd team match at the rather brown and fiery course at Enville GC.  Laura Morris from Arscott and Amelia Jinks from Market Drayton led the foursomes out but were soon overcome by a strong and experienced Staffordshire pairing. Becca Holywell from Oswestry and Melissa Hughes from Hawkstone did well taking their match to the 17th hole. Whilst Maria Harding from Oswestry and Isabel Green from Shrewsbury brought home a foursomes win of 4 and 3 leaving the team only 1 point behind going into the afternoon singles matches.  Staffordshire showed their true quality. And despite a win by Maria Harding and Laura Morris we lost the singles by 4 to 2. The final score was a win for Staffordshire of 6 : 3.  A big thank you to all the players but especially to Laura Morris who looked after the arrangements on the day and to Enville for hosting such a fabulous day of golf.
