The Shropshire Ladies County Golf Association runs a number of County Events open to all ladies within our association that are members of an affiliated golf club

To enhance the player experience as well as improving efficiency and effectiveness for all, we have further developed our registration and event sign up processes.
 

NB: Entry fees will be charged to your debit/credit card used at registration one day before the event. Players who cancel after the event has closed will not be refunded without a valid reason. This also applies to players deciding on the day that they don’t want to play and no shows.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  1. Competitors MUST make themselves aware of the Conditions of each Competition as per the SLCGA Rules & Regulations – a copy is at each Club or at each event on the Competition Desk. In particular we ask that you are aware of the bad weather siren information.
  2. Players not FULL members (i.e. Country & 5 Day) of their respective golf clubs should check the SLCGA Competition Rules and Regulations for eligibility.
  3. All bookings via the website. Please enter all required fields
  4. The format and rules for each event can be seen by clicking ‘view’ when in the competition registration page
  5. A draw in handicap blocks for playing partners is stipulated for all events, unless otherwise stated. Competitors will receive an email of their start times via Golf Genius
  6. All payments will be made online via credit card payment which is taken on the day before the event
  7. In the event of cancellation after closing date and in some cases of abandonment on the day, a proportion or all of the entry fees including the amount for food may not be refundable – subject to host clubs regulations.
  8. Providing the Event Organiser is notified in advance, late entries will be accepted if places are available, but those entrants are not eligible to compete for trophies. Excluding the team events e.g. Argles/Brealey Salver when a replacement partner is acceptable, providing a genuine reason for the replacement is given.
  9. In the case of an event being oversubscribed a ballot on handicap will take place. Low handicap players taking preference. A reserve list will be issued with the start sheet. Nominated team players in the Summer Meeting and the Wynne Corrie and Ritchie finalist in the Autumn Meeting take preference.
  10. All Wynne Corrie and Ritchie Vets qualifiers SHOULD be available to play in the Autumn Meeting. In unforeseen circumstances the Club’s Runner Up may take the winners spot, or the next in line.
  11. No player may take more than one prize in the same event, however they may take more than one trophy. Gross prize takes precedence.
  12. Extra Divisions may be made if the entry list determines.
  13. Players withdrawing from events MUST do so online.  Refunds after the closing date will not be offered unless cancellation under exceptional circumstances.
  14. Players that normally need to use a buggy at their home club may use one in county events and may share with a fellow player. (N.B. county championships are run under current EG Transportation Regulations). If hiring they must be ordered in advance on a first come first served basis and the Event Organiser must be advised in advance.
  15. Distance measuring devices that measure distance only are permitted in all SLCGA events. Mobile phones as DMD’s are not allowed at any time (but may be carried for emergency only)
