Our Junior novice handicap team travelled to Brailsford Golf Club on Sunday 14 July to play a strong Derbyshire team in the MNR handicap league. We fielded 2 newcomers to the league – Meara Coleman from Llanymynech and Elsa Thomas from Lilleshall; oth girls coped admirably going all the way to the 18th hole, with Elsa managing to get a half. All girls played well led by Dennis Coleman with a 7-6 victory. Sadly we couldn’t quite turn our great golf into a victory and lost 3½ – 1½ Well played girls.
