The semi-final and final scratch knockout stages of the SLCGA Seniors’ Championship took place at Ludlow GC on Wednesday 21st August. The conclusion of the semi finals resulted in Ros Moor (Shifnal) beating Isobel Green ( Shrewsbury) 1up; and Ann Peters (Shifnal) beating Trish McGloin (The Shropshire) 5 & 3. The two Shifnal players contested the final in the afternoon with Ann winning on the 16th 3&2. Congratulations to all the players on reaching this stage of the competition and especially to Ann on retaining the Championship Shield. Ann will now go on to compete in England Golf’s Senior Champion of Champions event at Woodall Spa in a few weeks time.
