Our final match was away against Derbyshire at Chevin Golf Club – a very challenging course winding up hill for 9 holes before descending back down. The morning foursomes saw a great win for Trish McGloin from The Shropshire and Helen Davies from Shrewsbury 3&1 but unfortunately this was our only point of the morning. We fared better in the afternoon singles with great wins for Ros Moor from Shifnal 4&3 and Julia Line from Llanymynech also 4&3 with Trish McGloin going all the way to the 18th for a battling half. With Derbyshire winning the singles 31/2 – 21/2 it meant an overall win for Derbyshire 51/2 – 31/2.
