Chris Evans won Shropshire County Ladies Seniors’ Championship, held at Oswestry G.C., after beating Ros Moor in the final 4 & 3. Both players secured their place in the final after the morning semi-final rounds. Chris had beaten Trish McGloin 3 & 2 and Ros had beaten Jan Sheargold 2 & 1.
This is the first time Chris has won the Shropshire County Ladies Seniors’ Championship, and it proved a special win for her, in that it was at Oswestry G.C. that she won her first Shropshire Ladies’ County Championship back in 1983.
