The Junior scratch team played at a very windy and hilly Westwood Golf Club in Leek.
The team of Abby Birchall, Sophie Brothwood, Lauren and Lucy Crump led by Captain Jess Warren came up against a very strong Nottinghamshire team and played fantastic golf giving the team a half with 2 wins and 2 losses. Sadly Staffs were unable to field a team, so the girls are credited with a 4-0 win against them.
This leaves the team in equal first place with our arch rivals, Notts, and all to play for on finals’ day at Branston on 15 August!!
