The Junior scratch team of Lauren Crump, Katelyn Wilkie (Vice Captain), Seren Ramsey (Captain), Sophie Brothwood and Lucy Crump played two excellent matches today at Shirland Golf Club. The team met Staffordshire this morning (7 July) and didn’t waste any time getting a great 4-0 victory, with Lauren, Katelyn and Sophie all playing in the singles matches and Seren and Lucy finishing the morning with a great 7&5 win in the foursomes. In the afternoon, we faced our old adversaries Nottingham and kept strong and focused during some difficult weather conditions and managed to flourish with another fantastic 4-0 victory. Well done Shropshire – once again you have done your County proud. We look forward to our next match at The Shropshire against Leicestershire and Rutland on 7 August.
