The junior handicap team of Elsa Thomas (The Astbury); Emilie Thomas (The Astbury); Isabelle Price (Hill Valley); Charlotte Barnes (Bridgnorth); Meara Coleman (Llanymynech) faced Derbyshire in the first match of the season at Llanymynech Golf Course on Sunday 11 May.
Isabelle and Emilile were both representing Shropshire in the MNR League for the first time and although a little nervous to start with, both girls settled well to complete their matches successfully. All the girls played some great golf and most of the matches were very close going over 17 or 18 holes. The final result was a victory for Shropshire 4 – 1.
