‘Race to Woodhall Spa’ – England Golf Competition
Kelly Honicke (Shifnal) initially qualified to enter the ‘Race to Woodhall Spa’ through Shifnal Golf Club and played in the area final at Wollaton Park Golf Club in June. She secured 5th position and qualified to play in the Grand Final at Woodhall. Kelly played the Bracken Course at Woodhall Spa in August and again finished in 5th position which has resulted in qualification for the EG ‘Race to Woodhall Spa’ Overseas Final Trip to be held this November at the Penina course in Portugal. Congratulations Kelly.

Louise Philips (Oswestry) also successfully qualified at her club, Oswestry, to go forward to the Regional final of England Golf’s ‘Race To Woodhall Spa’ at Droitwich golf club . Louise came 1st at Droitwich with 42 points in June and came 16th in the Grand Final at Woodhall Spa in August. Oswestry ladies are all very proud of her. Well done Louise.

Daily Mail Foursome
Debbi Mortimer and Kelly Honicke (Shifnal GC) progressed to the Daily Mail Foursomes Final at St Pierre. Although they lost the first final round, it was such a great achievement to get as far as they did. Shifnal Golf Club ladies are very proud of their achievement .
