Message received from James Crampton (England Golf) regarding County Finals Week:-
‘I am writing to inform you of the decision regarding the running of the English Men’s, Women’s and Senior County Finals.
It is with deepest regret that the decision has been made to cancel the events for 2020.
As I am sure you will appreciate this decision has not been taken lightly. With current restrictions in place around social distancing, gatherings indoors (max two households), the team nature of the events and the uncertainty around possible future localised lockdowns it was felt that for the safety and best interests of all concerned the events are cancelled.
On behalf of England Golf may I extend our best wishes for the remainder of the season and we look forward to getting back to normality and the running of the English County Finals in 2021.’
