Wednesday (Final day) Update:- Shropshire’s final match was a successful 3.5 – 1.5 win against Derbyshire. With all matches completed by lunchtime Shropshire finished in 3rd place closely behind Nottinghamshire. Congratulations to Lincolnshire on winning the event and will now represent Midland North Region in the National Finals in September.

Tuesday Update:: Following the first day’s play (Monday) Shropshire was lying in 2nd place. They beat Leics & Rutland 4.5 – 0.5 in the morning and halved the afternoon match against Nottinghamshire 2.5 -.2.5. Today, Tuesday, Team Shropshire had a successful morning in beating Staffordshire 3.5 – 1.5 whilst in the afternoon match we were narrowly beaten by Lincolnshire 3-2. This leaves us lying 3rd with one more match to play, tomorrow morning (Wednesday), against Derbyshire. Good luck everyone 
The competition:- Shropshire’s County 1st Team is competing in the Midlands North Region County week over the next few days at Coxmoor Golf Club, Nottinghamshire. The team will play 5 other counties with the winning County progressing forward to the National County Team Matchplay event later in the year. The six teams will play Scratch matchplay of two foursome matches and 3 single matches against each other.
