County 2nd team match: Shropshire vs. Staffordshire, at Enville Golf Club, Monday 24th July 2017
The final 2nd team match took place at Enville Golf Club on the Highgate championship course. The dry, but windy conditions made the course play a bit longer with the ball flight more difficult to control in the air. the Shropshire team lost all the foursomes in the morning but successfully won 2 of the singles matches, with one match determined on the last putt on the 18th green. Congratulations to Bernadette Micklewright and Margaret Lynch for winning their singles and a thank you to all team members for their availability, determination and sportsmanship throughout the match season, where improving match results showed through each time we played.
The match result was a 2:7 win to Staffordshire.
