60 ladies, representing 10 Shropshire golf clubs, played in SLGCA’s final event of 2025 – the 4BBB and Ann Russel bowl. The competition was held during fine weather on a challenging course at Hill Valley Golf Club.
Prizes went to the following teams:-
1st place and winning the Ann Russell Bowl, were Jo Cole and Julie Clay from Market Drayton with a magnificent 41 points, winning on the back 9.
2nd place representing Shifnal also with a magnificent 41 points but losing on the back 9 were Lesley Smith and Olive Brown.
3rd place was taken by Jane Aston and Julie Want of Shifnal with 40 points.
4th were Mary Lucas and Sally Major of Meole Brace with 38 points winning on the back 9 with 20 points.
5th place with another 38 points losing on the back 9 with 18 points were Julia Cave and Linda Deakin of The Shropshire.
