Our County 2nd team played their third match away against Derbyshire at Horsley Lodge Golf Club. A tricky course with sloping fairways and greens meant home advantage played its part. Morning foursomes saw Ros Moor and Xyra Van der Merwe fighting hard for a half, being the only success in the morning. Afternoon singles saw good wins for Xyra on her debut 5/4 and County Captain Hilary Fowles winning 3/1. Unfortunately these were the only wins with Derbyshire winning the match 6 ½ – 2 ½. Highlight of the day was a hole in one for Hilary on the 16th, her second of her golfing career.
